In the United States, under our brand license agreement with AT&T, we have launched a new line of SMB (small, medium business) products. The Reseller Channel Manager would be responsible for selling and driving revenue for both the new AT&T and Vtech line of SMB products through the Reseller / VAR community. In this newly created role you will report to our Vice President of VBS and have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of our company's SMB products by creating and developing new partner relationships.




  • Business Development identify, attract and retain key reseller / VAR's, specifically focusing on ErisTerminals, ErisStation, Headsets and SynJ.
  • Management of Resellers / VARs and Channel oriented activities within the United States; including: sales promotions, training and Partner-related support.
  • Work with internal and external sales teams to support and execute sales through Resellers / VARs, including: service development, design, proposals, complex architectural support etc.
  • Develop and help execute the channel strategy and the "Go To Market" plan for ErisTerminal, ErisStation, Headset and SynJ product lines, business development opportunities and ultimately, Revenue.
  • Become a trusted key account manager for chosen aforementioned accounts.
  • Accounts may vary and change throughout the year as situations evolve.
  • Deliver solution and product presentations to varied audiences, including CXO's, technical team members, and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in overall VTech strategies covering product development, pricing, support etc. Interface with product management teams to communicate and drive customer requirements
  • Prepare sales plans and sales forecasts with VP of Sales, VBS, and submit timely progress reports (weekly) against objectives.


This role is an individual contributor role for a person that has experience with cold calling, opening doors, channel development etc. However, the role forms a vital part of a small, collaborative, VBS team. The individual will be a team-player focused on the ultimate goal of "VBS success".



Broad sales, marketing, and distribution experience in the Telephony, VoIP, SIP or Voice sector

Experience managing a sales quota

Background in strategic alliance/partner development

Minimum of 3 years of successful outside sales experience including soliciting new business contacts.

Understands the voice technology platforms from CPE/PBXs to SIP Endpoints, On-premises based solutions, Off-premises (Cloud) based solutions, Hosted models etc.

Understands the Reseller/VAR channel.

Experience selling in a distributor type environment.

Seasoned creator of presentations, solution proposals, and business case

Experienced in the consultative approach to selling as a trusted advisor

Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

Excellent customer focus and adaptability

Experienced in configuring and orchestrating product demonstrations and solutions

Strong interpersonal skills in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with cross functional team

Willingness to travel up to 50% Travel (within US only)


Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field, and seven years of progressively responsible experience in the area of business to business sales; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform assigned tasks. Masters degree is desirable.
